my first week as a blogger

That's it ! I'm doing it :  sharing my life as a curious and  privileged New Yorker for 14 years.  Married for 12 years, two children, surrounded by the most amazing-fun-loving group of friends and recently divorced.
I love art, movies, theater, books (mostly novels) and fashion.
I love trying out new restaurants,I'm into nutrition and keeping my kids and myself healthy.
Things that I do religiously every week :  yoga (8 years as an an astanga student with the flexible and brilliant yogi master eddie stern) and spinning at Soul-cycle with Stacey Griffith, the best teacher ever and naps whenever I can, the most luxurious and efficient  way to re-enegize yourself in 20 minutes (the 20 minute part came after years of practice).. I have a very good and happy life and I intend to keep it that way !

monday :morning :  yoga, cooking a "sauté de veau aux carottes" for 25 people  in soho; afternoon : visit of  the must-see show "Malevich and the american legacy" at the Gagosian gallery(980 madison avenue).
early evening : ice skating  with the kids in Central park is so beautiful, rejuvenating and one of the greatest things to do in the winter in the city.

tuesday : kid's day :   with the braces removal of my son, I volunteer as an assistant yoga teacher with bent on learning, an charity that offers yoga classes in public schools in the 5 boroughs. My class are 6th graders, 2 boys and 13 girls and they are really into yoga and it's very inspiring. First piano concert of my daughter, she's a natural on stage...let's hope she doesn't become the new miley cyrus..

wednesday : hangover day after a very well-celebrated 40's dinner party the previous night. I'm not 20 anymore...missed my beloved spinning class but managed to go to the French Institute for the Tory Burch fashion talk.

thursday : yoga followed by the best almond milk cappuccino at Café Café on Greene street. Back uptown, I just couldn't resist taking my bike and riding in the park among the craziness of the St patrick's day parade. Dinner at my friends Tony and Adil's restaurant, Le marché du Sud, on 1st avenue between 62 and 63rd st (they have a "epicerie" corner with french products.

friday : spinning, 12:15 showing of  "jane Eyre", beautiful, romantic movie, great actors (michael fassbender is obscur and fascinating, Mia Wasikowska, young version of cate blanchett) and a  poetic cinematography. Saw vanessa Redgrave walking down Columbus avenue, such a chic lady.
At night was invited by a friend to a new austrian wine bar in Alphabet city, "edi and The wolf" (www.ediandthewolf.com): loved the interior design, a bit woody/dark but funky, food was delicious : we tried the pickled vegetables, sardine, frekkah salad (barley, beets, carrots), excellent sea bass but it's also a  paradise  for the sausage lovers.
We got tickets at the last minute for the Lady Rizo show at Joe's pub. THIS PERFORMER IS SENSATIONAL : funny as hell, sings, has this strong  but very warm personality. I laughed so much, I couldn't breathe. Going back with friends on friday may 20th at 9:30pm @ Joe's pub (www.joespub.com).

saturday : blogging in the am after a good night sleep, hopped on my bike and did a quick stop  @ Pachute (www.pachute.com)  a tiny and well stocked  store for kids and women (clothes & jewelry)  on 1st avenue & 82nd st,  before  watching an entertaining thriller "Limitless" followed by the new Sonia Delaunay show at the Cooper Hewitt museum (The Van cleef and arpels exhibition is a gem), spinning  @ 6pm A/C was off I thought I was going to collapse! Nice evening home in my pajamas. Set up my twitter account (@lolli75).

sunday : spinning @9:30, shower, brunch at cafe gitane in the jane hotel, returned a sweater at the very trendy new alexander wang store on grand st, saw "win win" at the Angelika and loved it (paul Giamatti is brilliant). Since I saw Gwyneth P at the Grammys wearing fuchsia feathers earrings I was longing for a pair which I found by chance (in green and cobalt blue) on Elizabeth street at"Love, adorned", a jewelry-piercing-tattoo super cool store (www.loveadorned.com).

voila,
